Taking sprint bookings for October 2026

Your MVP is breaking under real users. I'll make it hold.

I'm a senior full-stack engineer for two kinds of people: founders whose AI-built or junior-built app is failing under real users, and design agencies whose clients want the full app behind the Figma. Three years shipping production products with a London venture studio. Fixed-scope sprints, async by default, moving within 48 hours of a signed scope.

Lahore (UTC+5). Meetings covering UK, EU, Middle East and US mornings, booked in advance.

Packages

Fixed price. Fixed scope. Fixed dates.

Start small. The audit is free, a sprint is a fixed price with a fixed end date, and the retainer is there when you want the same engineer every week.

7-Day Rescue Sprint
Start here
Get a stalled AI build working, secured, and deployed.

$1,900

fixed price. 7 days.

For a Cursor, v0, Lovable, or Bolt build that stopped working, won't deploy, or nobody can change safely.

  • Written audit of the codebase on day 1
  • Blocking bugs fixed; auth and data access hardened (for example Supabase row-level security)
  • Deployed to Vercel or AWS with environments and CI
  • Handover: repo, docs, and a Loom walkthrough
  • 50% upfront, 50% on delivery
  • Kickoff within 48 hours of the deposit
  • One app, one repo; scope fixed on the scoping call
14-Day MVP Sprint
From Figma to a working product in two weeks.

$3,900

fixed price. 14 days.

For a funded founder or design agency with a Figma file or clear spec and no engineer to build it.

  • Next.js and TypeScript app with auth and a Postgres/Supabase data model
  • 3 to 5 core screens or flows built from your Figma
  • Analytics wired in (Amplitude or similar)
  • Deployed with CI; repo, docs, and Loom handover
  • 50% upfront, 50% on delivery
  • Kickoff within 48 hours of the deposit
  • Scope fixed on the scoping call; extra flows quoted separately
Fractional Senior Engineer
A senior engineer owning a surface, without the full-time hire.

$2,900/month

20 hours a week. Monthly.

For founders and agencies who want the engineer who shipped the sprint to keep owning the product, 20 hours a week.

  • 20 hours a week, priorities agreed async each week
  • Loom update every 48 hours
  • Code review and architecture guidance for your existing team
  • Billed monthly in advance
  • Cancel anytime

Start with a sprint. It is scoped to stand alone, and it is the cheapest way for both of us to find out whether this works. If it does, the retainer picks up where the sprint stops: same repo, same 48-hour Loom cadence, 20 hours a week on whatever is next.

Foodie feed showing Desi Fish and Chips at Eastern Jam Cafe

Etra Ventures, London · 2025 to 2026 · Lead developer

Foodie (opens in a new tab)

Challenge
Etra Ventures wanted a new consumer food-discovery product, built from nothing by a small team and taken live: video-heavy, location-dependent, and relying on two outside specialists, a data scientist's recommender and a Python video pipeline, whose work had to land inside one coherent product.
What I built
I led it from the first commit. The app is Next.js 16 and TypeScript on Supabase, with auth, row-level security and migrations in place before there were users to protect. The heavy work, video extraction, embeddings, quality checks and Places sync, runs in a separate Fastify worker on AWS ECS, provisioned with Terraform, so a slow pipeline job never slows the app. I integrated the recommender and the video pipeline through that worker and webhooks, and instrumented the whole flow in Amplitude so the team could see what people actually did.
Outcome
Live at foodie.app. A zero-to-production consumer app with its own backend, where the risky parts, ingestion, ML and third-party data, are isolated from the part users touch. That is the shape I give messy products.
  • Next.js 16
  • TypeScript
  • Supabase
  • Fastify
  • AWS ECS
  • Terraform

SuperViral social commerce website

Etra Ventures, London · 2023 to 2026 · Front-end owner

SuperViral (opens in a new tab)

Challenge
Keep the customer-facing side of a high-traffic social-commerce product fast, clear, and consistent for tens of thousands of monthly users.
What I built
I owned the customer-facing front end; most of the pages users saw were my work. I also built front-end split-test variants for the checkout pages.
Outcome
SuperViral was a significant source of revenue for Etra Ventures. The site has been redesigned since my time on it, so today's version is not my front end.

Almo mid-session: the Inhale ring filling, with a thought saved below

Etra Ventures, London · 2025 · Front-end developer

Almo (opens in a new tab)

Challenge
Turn a 4-7-8 breathing and journaling concept into a calm, polished consumer app, building on a backend API owned by another developer.
What I built
I built the entire front end in React 19, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS: per-phase progress rings and a breathing audio cue kept in sync with each breath, even through pause and resume; an adjustable session timer; an interactive tutorial that coaches first-time users through a live cycle; thoughts captured mid-session without an account, kept on the device and saved to the account on sign-in; mood tagging; the sign-up and password-reset screens; and an internal analytics dashboard.
Outcome
Live at almo.app. I built every screen and interaction you see there.
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Vite
  • Tailwind CSS
  • shadcn/ui
  • React Router

Also shipped

  • Cricwick (opens in a new tab)

The content system behind cricwick.net. I designed and shipped its Next.js and MySQL headless CMS at Khaleef Technologies in 2022; it is still in production more than three years later.

Agencies

For design agencies: the build partner your clients keep asking for

Your client signed off the Figma and now wants the dashboard, the accounts, the roles, the database. You do not want to hire a backend team to serve one account, and you cannot hand the client to a stranger. Send me the file. I build it to the design in Next.js with Supabase or Postgres, ship it with CI and docs, and stay on a retainer for the versions that follow. Under your brand if you prefer.

The 14-day MVP sprint is built for this handoff. The retainer is what keeps it running.

  • Almo (opens in a new tab)

A complete React front end built to spec against a backend I did not control.

    Live: almo.app

  • Foodie (opens in a new tab)

When there is no backend yet, I build that too: Supabase with row-level security, a worker on AWS, analytics from day one.

How I work

Async by default. Scoped in writing. Paid for outcomes.

These are the terms. They are what make a seven-day sprint take seven days.

  • Async by default

Written updates and short Looms, not standups or daily check-ins.

  • Nothing starts without a written scope

Sprints are a fixed price; the retainer is 20 hours a week. If the scope changes, the scope document changes first.

  • A Loom every 48 hours

During a sprint you get a recorded walkthrough every two days, whatever shipped. You always know where it stands without asking.

  • One scoping call, then meetings only when useful

Booked ahead, inside my window: 10:00 to 24:00 PKT, which covers the UK, EU and Middle East day and US mornings. No standing meetings.

  • You pay for outcomes

Deployed, documented software. I do not bill by the hour and I do not sell availability.

  • One decision-maker on your side

Someone who answers async within a working day. That is the whole input I ask for.

  • Your repo, your hosting, your accounts

From day one. Nothing of mine is left behind.

What a sprint looks like

  1. 15 minutes

    Scoping call

We agree what done looks like, what is out of scope, and the fixed price. You get a written scope the same day.

  2. Within 48 hours of the deposit

    Kickoff

Access to the repo, Figma, and hosting is set up, environments are created, and you get the first Loom with the plan for the sprint.

  3. The sprint

Build, with a Loom every 48 hours

Async first. Every two days you get a short recorded walkthrough of what shipped and what is next. No standing meetings unless you want one.

  4. Last day

    Handover

Deployed, documented, and walked through on a final Loom. The repo is yours. The remaining 50% is due on delivery.

About

Who you're working with

Daniyal Khalid

I'm Daniyal Khalid, a full-stack product engineer in Lahore with 5+ years of shipping complete products. I spent the last three years working day to day with a venture studio in London, where I led Foodie from the first commit and owned the front end of SuperViral. Before that I built for clients at consultancies and agencies, including a headless CMS for Cricwick that is still in production.

I like hard technical problems and clean handovers. I would rather send you a Loom than sit in a standup, and I would rather fix the data model now than patch it for a year. If that is how you like to work, we will get on.
